I want to tell you the story of how Atelier Nui came about.
With a tailor for a mum and a designer for a big sister, we grew up always designing and making our own clothes. My dolls were always dressed in my own designs and for me, it felt like I was creating a fairy-tale character.
I entered this sector 20 years ago as a Model and took part in many TV series`, videos, ads, fashion shows and photoshoots.
My first job was in the most famous advertisement at the time, Turkcell Cell-O! It was shot by the well-known Director Ketche Hakan Kırkavaç, and it was through this project that we met.
Between 2003 & 2006, I worked again with Ketche Hakan on many advertisement projects,as well as music videos alongside Kenan Dogulu and Athena.
My last work as a Model was in my dear friend Yusuf Kayı`s fashion show at Nişantası City`s in 2009.
Because I had always wanted to be in Costume Design, I started off as an assistant and worked my way up within the sector.
Since 2015, I have worked behind the camera as a Costume Designer alongside successful Directors such as Yekta Özbilen and Şahin Yigit, working on music artists` videos and advertising projects

Fashion Shoots:
It was while working on the set of Yolsuzluk Çetesi film in 2016, that I found our dog Skyler and adopted him. However, as the project was still ongoing, I passed him on to my husband Sascha. At the time, Skyler was still a baby and was being bottle-fed.
Shortly after that project finished, I went to Baku, Azerbaijan to work on a joint Azerbaijani-Turkish film called Xladamioz. When I returned to Turkey, after being in Baku for 4-5 months, my husband told me that he wanted to move to Kuşadası. So, at a time when my career was at its peak, I followed my love
However, up until then I had been so used to working on different projects with different people, that sitting around doing nothing in Kuşadası wasn’t my thing.
From time to time, I would travel to Istanbul for fashion shoots, but after working on the film Ciftlik Bank Tosun Fırarda which was shot in Istanbul and Cyprus, I made a promise to my husband that I wouldn`t go away again for a such a long time
We have a quiet, peaceful life in Kuşadası with our 5 dogs and 4 cats. I feed the street animals twice a day every day. We contribute to animal food monthly at the Kusadası Animal Shelter. I really enjoy doing all of this, but I feel that to feed my soul, there is something missing.
So, everything began back then, and to produce my own designs, I set up Atelier Nui.
About Our Brand
As I am against Fast Fashion, my aim is to produce sustainable designs that are timeless, can be used with different combinations and be the star parts of your wardrobe for many years. I think that as well as ourselves, those working in the nature, animal, and fashion sectors, should also have more “fair” options for sustainable fashion that we can use for a long time; not just being trendy, but to create our own style.
